So I don't think they will allow Maxis to create a Sngle Player standalone game.

They are all multiplayer now, and aren't a fan of single player games. The only thing I don't see that happening is EA. Maybe something that we never saw before, has a story mode.

I however like you, would also like to see a spin-off. Like you had said the console version is a port this time around and not a stand alone game with the same PC name name like the previous entries did. So that is why they will have a different gameplay compared to the original game. I can't be the only one who misses the console story modes, right? Would you like to see something like The Sims Castaway/The Sims Medieval/The Sims Stories made in The Sims 4 engine? Thanks for reading, good day to all! Wish they could've done something better for the UI on consoles.Īnyway, sorry about that segue.
#THE SIMS CASTAWAY STORIES TV FULL#
I'm not saying that The Sims 4 for consoles is necessarily bad, this is, after all, the first full port of the PC game made for consoles and I guess that's great! Although reviews suggest that there's much to be desired in the aspect of controlling the game the way it's mapped out it's obviously a direct port of the PC game, mouse pointer and all. Even the home console PS2/Xbox/GC versions had a story mode. Back then its graphical capabilities were on par with the PC and it was really fun being able to play the Sims on the go and control your Sims directly and not queuing tasks via point and click. I'm very fond of The Sims 2 for PSP, it had lots of heart and great humor and a nice plot. I was really hoping that the Sims 4 for console would be a different game entirely, like how back when The Sims 2 was out on consoles they each had their own story modes.
